Is this the lowest hype ever for a championship?
Like seriously, I haven't seen anything about the warriors winning. In fact, on the day of game 4 on this sub there was like no posts about the game happening that night. Does nobody care? I feel like every other championship had some level of hype but this has nothing.

I believe Warrior fans and Lebron haters are loving it, but as a neutral fan it's honestly one of the least excited I've been to see a championship in years.
Lebron-hater here. Still pretty bored.
[–]Nets TankwagonBoomMeta 264
ELI5 "LeBron hater"? Like are you a fan of the Cavs traditional rival or something? Who IS their traditional rival, anyway?
I'm a LeBron hater because he dicks the Hawks at every turn, with that being said though I would love LeBron if he somehow came to Atlanta. I could care less about the Cavs franchise. The only franchise I despise in Boston because of history and football related reasons.
thank you for your honesty...
i've noticed some people hate the Celtics simply because the transcendent Patriot hate has boiled over...
no, it's just Boston in general. Horrible fans, act like they're better than everyone else just because their sports teams are traditionally successful due to a pattern of large markets being able to attract good players at the expense of smaller markets. Boston fans embody that superiority complex, that having more wealth and prestige makes you better than other people.
I hate all their teams, but I can be happy for Boston players. It's not their fault. NEVER, though, NEVER could be happy for a Boston fan. Fuck them

The Masshole stereotype is real
Yes, this year we got two mini "finals"
1. Warriors vs Rockets
2. Can LeBron carry a group of guys from the Y to the finals vs the Celtics.
Can LeBron carry a group of guys from the Y to the finals vs the Celtics.
This is why Kyrie left and Kevin Love is unhappy. It's not LeBron's fault people talk like this, but it's hard to play with him if you're a star because of it.
To be fair none of his teammates really contributed anything to stop that narrative.
We know this isn't why kyrie left. He wanted his own team, he wasn't upset by being called "a guy from the Y" because absolutely no one called him that
[–]MagicByrie_Swirving 62 指標 4小時前
also there is nothing to suggest K love is unhappy haha
I've been a longtime NBA fan and it's definitely the most underwhelming or subdued championship victory that I've ever seen. Even the Warriors players didn't seem as gleeful as players usually are after winning.
They seemed like they were trying to get each other into it because they were supposed to. Super weird
[–][CLE] Seth Currykevln02 188
Yeah, Nick Young was the only one who seemed genuinely ecstatic.
Everyone else was just like, kind of happy.
Or you might dislike the warriors and have warped your image of them celebrating like this
[–]ThunderReflectional_rectum 341 指標 6小時前
no you could just see the lack of excitement. They all knew they were getting a ring.
They looked more happy escaping Houston than they did winning the chip tbh. Cleveland was that ass.
That series was the real NBA finals.
Yeah and it was really sad that CP3 got injured. It would have been a more epic series if he could play for game 6 and potentially game 7. I'm still getting over it...I'll always remember this season as the season the Rockets were 1 game away from the finals and CP3 went out with an injury.
[–]WarriorsCalifornie_cramoisie 97 指標 6小時前
I honestly think y'all would've won the series with CP3. For me, that takes away from some of the excitement, feeling like we lucked our way into the finals to play an inferior team than the previous round.
[–]WarriorsFriendo_Supreme 202 指標 6小時前
Yeah, it was underwhelming. Like, I'm still happy, but it doesn't compare to 2015 or even 2017.
Winning in Cleveland also probably put a damper on things.
everyone says that but look at 2016, they were on the road and went fucking nuts
I mean the circumstances were completely different though. They had just completed one of the greatest comebacks in sports history, of course they went nuts.
Long time fan here. Imo. More people talked about where Lebron could go instead of game 4.
I barely watched the second half because the game was so boring. Watched a movie instead.
[–]WarriorsThe_Battler 151 指標 6小時前
By the time it hit around 5 minutes in the fourth quarter I got a text saying:
"This game is trash, get on Fortnite" -Warriors fan since birth (my friend)
This fanbase is incredibly spoiled now, some enjoy watching the other team fans suffer more than watching us win lol
WCF was the Finals.
They were ecstatic after winning game 7 in Houston. They knew themselves that that was the real finals. Beating up on a team that isn’t even close to either west finalist was just a bonus round, sonic style
Apparently this sub is super young because the spurs and lakers against the nets were way worse.
You have no idea how upset I was that nobody mentioned this before I saw your comment nestled in the bottom.
That 2002 finals was awful
[–][TOR] Jonas ValanciunasOld_Runescape 72
The 2002 WCF was the true NBA final. And the league screwed over the Kings.
Because KD ruined basketball
[–]RaptorsLeBronto_2018 448 指標 10小時前
We've been expecting it since July 4 2016
I'm clearly on the outside looking in. But like is the journey the same for their fans? It's an honest question. With the eagles this year there was so much adversity, so much doubt, and it made the championship so much better. Do warriors fans miss out on that part of the fun? Or are you guys just like fuck everyone were the best, which I totally understand as well.
[–]WarriorsJ-smoov 200
would you still have sex after you lost your virginity?
No, because 70% of their fans are also Yankees, Patriots, and occasionally Lakers fans.
I mean what did you expect when it was a sweep, but more importantly everyone knew already who was going to win, no matter 4-0 or 4-1, nobody gave one shit. Thats what happens when KD joined i think a 73-9 regular season winning team #hardroad
The hardest road
[–]Knicksabado 220
the real finals was warriors vs houston
lets be real, any of the eastern conference teams would have been swept or beaten in 5 by houston or goldenstate.
actually if Houston got through, it could have been a close series against Cleveland if CP3 wasn't able to play the first few games.
