DRX are a pretty sloppy strong team, if that makes sense.

Games like this are why I think many wouldn't rate DRX to win Worlds.

Okay... let's be real. There's no improvement in Wildcards and Minor regions this year. That was a lie.

After play-ins a lot of people commented how the gap has closed a bit and smaller regions look a lot better. But after the group stages it's clear that it's not the case.

The reality is that EU and LPL sending 4th seeds, who were the weakest representatives of the regions in Worlds history, severely distorted the skill assessment of play-ins.

MAD and LGD struggling were not signs of wildcards being better, it was a sign of 4th seeds just being that much weaker than 3rd seeds. And TL getting through with flying colours was the indicator of what a proper seed of a major region can actually do against this level of competition.

UOL had like a 95% win rate domestically. They were more dominant in their region than DWG was in Korea, they clapped the other wildcards in Play-ins without a problem.

But against higher seeds from major regions they may as well be a gold clash team.

It's the same thing as every year for the past 3 years.

We have to go all the way back to 2016 and Albus Nox Luna to find success from a wildcard/minor region.

The gap is not closing. At best it's the same as it has always been, at worst it's actually getting bigger.

说真的，我们现实一点。外卡和主要赛区真的没有进步。那只是个谎言。在入围赛之后，很多人都说赛区之间的差距拉近了，小的赛区看起来好多了。但是在小组赛之后，发现完全不是这样的。

LEC和LPL在入围赛里的队伍是他们的四号种子，是世界赛历史上这些赛区中最弱的代表队，这严重地影响了人们对于入围赛的评估。

MAD和LGD的挣扎不是说外卡赛区变强了，而是四号种子要比三号种子弱的多的证明。而TL从入围赛一路高歌猛进则证明了为了达到相应水平的竞技性，一个主要赛区的种子应该拥有的实力是什么样子的

UoL在国内有95%的胜率，他们甚至比DWG在本土更加制霸，他们同样也在入围赛中暴打其他的外卡队伍。

但是面对主要赛区的种子队伍，他们的表现就跟冠军杯赛里的黄金段位的队伍一样

这种情况已经连续出现三年了

我们得一路追寻至2016年才能找到外卡/次要赛区成功的案例（ANX）

差距并没有缩小，最多就是维持了原状，甚至还可能扩大了
