BROOKLYN GOES ALL-IN: FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF NEW-LOOK NETS TEAM.

破釜沉舟的布鲁克林：观篮网新阵容有感

After blockbuster trade where Brooklyn Nets acquired Harden they automatically became the main favourites to win the Eastern Conference and one of the main NBA Title contenders.

在一笔惊天动地的交易中得到了詹姆斯-哈登后，布鲁克林篮网也自然而然地成为了当下东部冠军的最大热门和NBA总冠军的强有力竞争者。

If your team has 7 of last 11 NBA seasons scoring champions + probably the best ballhandler and one of the best 1-on-1 players in the world (24 All-Star apperances together for Beard/Kyrie/KD) that's not surprise. The Nets offense might be lethal.

 JOE HARRIS  - #1 in 3-point shooting accuracy in 2018/19 season (47,7%!) among players with 2.5+ attempts per game. NBA 2019 All-Star 3-point contest champion.  Over the last 3 seasons Joe Harris shoots 3-pointers with very high accuracy   - 505/1150 (43.9%).

+Potentially the best offense in NBA.

+Harden's unselfishness and willingness to accept his role. He has achieved almost everything he can as individual player but he still doesn't have a ring yet. 

优势2：哈登会无私且自愿地接受他在篮网的任何新角色。他已经获得了所能争取到的一切个人荣誉，但独缺一枚冠军戒指。

+At some point of their careers two players of this BIG 3 already have played together - Oklahoma City, Team USA...

+Coaching staff. One of highest IQ former NBA player Steve Nash + Mike D'Antoni is great coaching tandem in my opinion despite Nash's lack of experience. They both have something to prove...

优势6：由于阵中众多天赋异禀且技术卓绝的球员能吸引大量的防守，昔日的三分大赛冠军乔-哈里斯必然会获得更多的空位投射机会。

-Offense > Defense. Who is their defensive stopper? 

隐患1：攻强守弱的阵容。谁能成为他们防守端的主心骨呢？

-Potential EGO issues. There is only 1 basketball & once team is winning everything is alright..

隐患2：潜在的自我问题。场上只有一颗篮球，但只要球队在赢球就一切好说。

-Kyrie Irving's personal problems.

隐患3：凯里-欧文的个人问题

-Lack of depth. Since Dinwiddie is out (season-ending ACL injury) bench doesn't look too impressive for NBA Title contenders.

隐患4：阵容缺乏深度。如果以争冠球队的标准衡量，缺少了丁威迪（因遭遇右膝十字韧带撕裂伤势而赛季报销）的篮网的板凳席似乎有点乏善可陈。

If you have a chance to land 3 of the best offensive player's together in one team - you definitely do it. The question is if Harden+KD+ right pieces around them doesn't work better than all of these three highly skilled players together on court at the same time? Anyway it's up to coaching staff to find a right roster for specific game situations. Ego problems also can play big role in team's chemistry.

如果你有机会同时得到联盟中的3名顶尖进攻球员，毫无疑问你会付诸行动。问题在于，哈登+KD+合适角色球员的组合是不是真的比不上这三名技术卓绝的球星同时在场的表现呢？总而言之，这还是取决于教练组能否在具体的比赛情况中排出最正确的阵容。而球员的自我意识也会在很大程度上影响球队化学反应的生成。

At the moment we have really small sample size of this Big 3 playing together so it will take at least few weeks to see who is who and what is what.

Durant & Harden in first 2 games together as Brooklyn Nets players looked very good. I like Harden's unselfishness and balance between attacking himself and sharing the basketball. Brooklyn won both games.

Another question is to trade where and if other teams would be interested to trade to acquire Irving who can simply tell their employer: "I just didn't want to play..."

Kyrie is one of the most entertaining player to watch, highly skilled, probably has the best handles in NBA history, can create his own shot but his poor defense has never helped his team who he plays for.

Kyrie simply wasn't able to guard almost 7 years younger Cavaliers player Collin Sexton who scored 42 points and helped his team to beat Brooklyn.

Kyrie+his problems > spot up 3-point shooter/defensive stopper + rim protector/rebounder/roller big man?  After recent events I am more leaning towards trade and finding right peaces around former OKC duo.

FIRST IMPRESSION OF  BROOKLYN NETS & BIG THREE .

Game between Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets was the first game for Big Three together and it's hard to expect the best "chemistry" among these superstars. 

昨天篮网和克利夫兰骑士的比赛是三巨头的首次合体，因此我们很难期望这三位超级明星之间能立刻产生最完美的化学反应。

#1. They need time, maybe few weeks to build team's chemistry.

#2. Bench must play better... Nets bench was outscored by 34 points ( 10-44).

Steve Nash's team faced very motivated Cavaliers squad who played with passion and energy, especially Collin Sexton. Special motivation for just traded Nets players - Allen and Prince who played really well against their former team.

Cleveland's coaching staff were well prepared for this game and their game plan against Brooklyn worked excellent.

One of the best ways how to stop highly skilled players is to play Zone defense or mixed defenses like  Match-Up Zone (start with zone defense and after pass or cut switch to man-to-man). Coach Bickerstaff's team played Zone Defense often and this time it paid off.

对抗那些技术极为高超的球员最好的办法就是联防或者“区域+盯人”的混合防守（即先摆出联防阵势，在对手传球或切入后则转变为人盯人防守。）比克斯塔夫教练治下的骑士经常打联防，并且在这场比赛中取得了成功。

Example of Match-Up Zone Defense. DeAndre Jordan had to shoot mid-range shot in last seconds of possession and that's definitely shot Cavaliers want.

例如在下面这次执行混合防守的回合中，德安德烈-乔丹竟不得不在进攻时间只剩最后几秒时选择中距离投篮，而这正是骑士所希望的。

For those who follows International basketball this strategy (playing zone defense) is often used by European and other teams against Team USA.

Only 14 turnovers in 58 minutes by Cavs and just 10 bench points by Nets also were 2 very important factors that let Cavs win in double OT.

And of course career's best game by Sexton. No one from Brooklyn were able to stop him yesterday.

Teams will play again tomorrow and I am pretty sure that we will see different Brooklyn team.

BROOKLYN NETS - NBA CHAMPIONS?

布鲁克林篮网能争夺总冠军吗？

Defense? Depth? Any trades? Potential locker room drama? Chemistry? Many questions must be answered during the season. 

防守怎么办？阵容深度呢？会不会有交易动向？更衣室会不会出问题？化学反应如何建立？这支篮网这赛季要解决不少问题。

No doubts that after this Harden trade "on paper" Brooklyn are favourite to win East. At the same time most of pre-season predictions was that Lakers will win Western Conference.

在完成哈登的这笔交易后，毫无疑问篮网已经成为纸面上的东部冠军最大热门。同时，赛季前绝大多数的预测都看好湖人会赢下西部冠军。

Let's imagine that Brooklyn wins Eastern Conference what is really hard to do. They must beat Milwaukee with Giannis, Boston with Tatum, Brown, Kemba and others, Philadelphia looks very good with shooters Curry and Green added to their roster and that helps Embiid and Simmons a lot and of course we can't forget teams like Miami Heat and others.

来想象一下篮网要从东部突围有多困难。他们必须击败拥有扬尼斯-阿德托昆博的雄鹿，拥有杰森-塔特姆、杰伦-布朗、肯巴-沃克等人的凯尔特人，还有这赛季引进了塞斯-库里和丹尼-格林两大射手后表现出色、极大地解放了乔尔-恩比德和本-西蒙斯双帝组合的76人，同时我们也不能忽略像迈阿密热火这样的其他队伍。

NBA Finals - Can they beat Lakers if they meet in 2021 NBA Finals?

至于NBA总决赛——如果他们在2021年的总决赛遇上湖人，他们能击败湖人吗？

Let's assume that pre-season predictions by ESPN will come true - Lakers win Western Conference (what is also really hard to do...).

让我们假设ESPN赛季前的预测为真，即湖人赢得西部冠军（这同样会是很艰难一段路）

Not only most of NBA experts but also Lakers and Lebron themselves are very confident about their chances to defend Title. And why King shouldn't be?

The King: "Trades happens every year."

Defense wins championships.. Nets must be ready to beat best NBA defenses and at the moment Lakers are #1 defense in the League - Defensive Rating 104.5.

防守赢得总冠军。篮网要想夺冠就必须击破联盟最强的防守，而目前湖人的防守刚好是联盟第一（防守效率104.5）。

In my opinion in this "unusual" season everything is possible but Brooklyn definitely must to improve their defense and everyone has to find his role in offensive and defensive schemes. 

依我所见，虽说在这个“非常态”的赛季中一切皆有可能，但是篮网的的确确需要提升他们的防守，并且团队内的每个人都要在攻防两端找到他们的角色。。

Defense wins championships. No NBA Champion has ranked worse than 11th in defense in nearly 2 decades.

再说一遍，防守赢得总冠军。近20年内，没有一支总冠军队伍的常规赛防守效率排名低于联盟前11。

If Brooklyn plays their best basketball they can beat everyone but if you ask me today I would say that Lakers (and not only) looks better but things can change... Lakers doesn't need to prove anything, Brooklyn needs. NBA is very competitive and less predictable as it was in last few years (Miami Heat last season for example). 

如果篮网能整合到完美，并打出属于他们的篮球，那么联盟里的任何球队他们都是有机会战胜的；但是如果你在此时此刻向我发问，我还是会说湖人更有冠军相（而且眼下比他们强的也不只有湖人）。但是事物是会发展和变化的……湖人不需要证明什么，但篮网很需要。NBA是一个竞争激烈的地方，且根据这几年看来，比赛结果已经越来越难预测了。（去年的大黑马热火就是最好的例子）
