It's baffling they're this high on the table, this is coming from someone who has almost watched all of their games this season. Like, they're playing so badly. They cannot keep a hold of the ball. It's what is fucking them, legit.

I don't even think their defence is that bad, they're just getting crossed, shot and dribbled at every fucking minute of the game. Like take todays stats, Newcastle had 22 shots this match. Are they suddenly some powerhouse with insane, positive attacking threat? Fuck no, other teams just know how to keep a hold of the ball, play with a more reasonable tempo, less direct. They don't give away the ball after 20 seconds in possession so their opponent can start another attack. And again, and again and again. No shit you concede.

I thought it might be the players, i thought maybe the insane amount of games has left it's mark.

我觉得问题多少还是出在球员身上，如此密集的赛程也许给球员带来了负担。穆帅无法给这支球队打上一种烙印，好让他们能一直赢下去。他并不是热刺帅位的合适人选。他肯定会在赛季结束后的夏天被炒。

Fans don't want to hear it, I remember making almost essentially the exact same comment at the end of Mourinho's reign at United.

I can understand needing a world class manager to develop a unique playing style, or to outclass a top opponent, or nullify a stubborn team against you etc. But when people claim you need a world class manager to stop people making basic mistakes, I've never understood it. No professional footballer should need a manager to tell him not to give the ball away, or that he can't just jog back after giving the ball away.

我理解一支球队需要世界级教练为其打造一种独特的球风，或者超越一位顶级对手，或者将一个死敌踩在脚下等等诸如此类。但当人们要求聘请一名世界级教练，就为了让球员避免犯下很基础的错误，我是不能理解的。职业球员不应该需要教练来告诉他不要丢失球权，又或者告诉他丢球之后不要慢吞吞地去回追。
