在网易上第一次听到就印象深刻，Josh Turner的低音炮嗓音非常喜欢。

1977年11月20日，Josh Turner诞生在南卡罗莱纳州的汉纳小城，一个甚至连独立的邮局区号都没有的地方。他从小就在当地的浸信会联会的教堂里接受音乐的洗礼。他开始接触乡村音乐却是由于他祖母的关系。祖母使他熟悉了南方福音四重唱，即乡村巨星Johnny Cash，Waylon Jennings，Roy Acuff以及Ernest Tubb，同时他还接触到了蓝草音乐的传奇人物The Osborne Brothers和The Stanley Brother。他很喜欢Ralph Stanley这些男中低音歌手的作品，大部分因为他自己也天生一副重低音的歌喉。 　　
Josh Turner以其俊秀的外表和浑厚富有磁性的嗓音正渐渐成为当今乡村歌坛的新人王，已出版4张专辑。
