It’s per account holder. Giannis can’t open 50 accounts all under his own name and receive 250k FDIC insurance for each account.

Now if he tacked on some family members as joint account holders, they’d also get the 250k insurance per institution.

视频里采访的大妈谈到那天的经历，大概的讲述内容：

我记得那天是11月吧，反正是入冬特别冷的一天。我开车在路上走，然后我远远看到一个超级高的人在街上跑——那不是我最爱的字母“小哈尼”吗？我的天哪，他就穿着牛仔裤，运动衫跑去球馆，天哪，那么冷的天，他甚至都没穿外套！

然后我就开车过去问他，我可以带你一程。但我的车子很小的，他很有礼貌，然后他开心的同意了，上车之后，你知道他那么高大，在我车子的后座，他就只能蜷缩成一团。他膝盖都顶住鼻子了，哈哈哈。

我就像他的妈妈一样，跟他说，这么冷的天，你怎么自己跑去球馆呢，他说他不会开车。而且他穿那么少，都没穿外套，我跟他说这么冷，你应该得穿个羽绒服吧，至少冬天的外套呀。

后来我送他到球馆之后，他的助理教练在门口。看到他从我车上下来，助教一脸问号：这人是谁呀？你怎么坐他的车。字母哥回答说，这个人是我在路上遇到的球迷，她很友好，愿意开车送我来球馆。然后助教跟他说：呃，在美国可不敢这么搞，不能随便上陌生人的车子的……

When Giannis was a rookie he sent all his salary back to his family in Greece because he didn't know what to do with the money. He kept nothing and didn't know how to drive so he had to walk/run to get to his arena and fans would pick him up from the streets.

-----------随后，两人用他们帮派特有的形式握手致意

------------波蒂斯眼睛一眨不眨，冷冷的说道，朱哥是个狠角色，如果能加入的话，对他们团队来说是个非常好的补充。字母哥微微一笑：“我的GM会跟我讨论跟谁一起打球的，这一点我很确定，哪儿像我们对手杜兰特所在的布鲁克林帮派那样呀……”

为什么会有人怀疑他能够找到50家不同的银行呢？确实得花点儿时间，但也不是不可能呀，至少能数出10家全国性的大银行，然后还有很多小的地方银行呀……

Why do you doubt he could find 50 banks? It would be a lot of work, but there are around 10 big-name national banks and plenty of smaller regional banks

我了解到的消息是，刚到NBA的头一年对他来说是很不容易的。他之前基本上都是跟家人同住的，现在呢，他只身一人来到一个陌生的国度，语言也不通还在学习，肯定很不容易呀……

之前TNT的节目中还提到过，他家人两次申请签证来美遭拒，他还跟他的经纪团队说，如果再一次被拒的话，他会退出NBA回到自己的老家去。

From what I've heard/read, that first year or so was really rough on him. It makes sense considering he had basically lived in the same room as his whole family for most of his life, and now he was by himself in a strange country having to speak a language he was still learning.

TNT did a piece on him awhile back that talked about how his family's visa got rejected twice, and he told his agent that if it happened again, he was going to quit the NBA and move back home.

or the fact FDIC only insures up to $250k per account and it says it all over bank websites and every hard surface in a branch. there is a slight chance he read it once and thought to open multiple accounts so they were all protected
