Yeah this series was basically 90% Jimmy, 5% Bam, 1% Lowry, and 4% everyone else for Miami. Bam was good for like two games, Lowry was good for one, and everyone else was good for like a quarter or two at max. Sure Jimmy had two bad games and a third where he only played half of it, but that was because he was injured and nobody else stepped up in his absence besides Bam in Game 3.

As a lifelong Lakers fan this has a lot of Kobe vibes to it. Team has to live with objectively bad shots because he’s that dude for the team. Still a bad shot.

Honestly I don’t think it’s really that bad a shot. It’s a wide open step in 3. He hit several of those throughout the series.

I didn't think it was a bad shot but I thought he had the opportunity to attack the rim and Jimmy's really deadly attacking the rim.

I totally get it though. I don't care how good your conditioning is. 48 minutes of playoff basketball, carrying the offense and guarding one of the opposing stars, is a lot. He went for the win and I don't blame him

Shit this is the truth, if Jimmy didnt have the mindset that leads to this shot he probably never develops past a decent starter/top tier 6th man with his career trajectory. Dude worked from a lowly regarded role player to the centerpiece of a team that just almost went to their 2nd finals since they signed him. That doesnt happen for guys that wouldnt put the game in their own hands like Butler did

Extremely underrated factor in this is that this dude had already played 48 minutes. Imo, it wasn’t the worst move to go for the win, since who knows if he even has the legs for OT
