前两天刚撰文写到，PBA赛程过于漫长，导致球员无法得到充分的休息，更没有时间像NBA球员那样每年夏天都练出新的一招鲜，这是很多菲律宾球员希望到海外效力的原因之一。

The 47th Season of the Asia's longest operating professional basketball league kicked off last Sunday. Starting off with the Leo Awards, which saw Barangay Ginebra's Scottie Thompson awarded the league most valuable player, ending a string of six successive recognitions by Junemar Fajardo. This was the first time since 2019 that a league MVP was awarded by the PBA.

The PBA hopes to be able to hold another three-conference season this year, beginning with the current Philippine Cup, followed by the Commissioner's Cup and ending with the Governors' Cup.

The Philippine Cup is the only conference that teams play with all Filipino players, as the other two conferences feature one import each per team, with respective height limits in each conference.
