It's extremely overrated. There is no fair trade for guys like Gobert. This sub loves trashing him but he's one of the greatest defensive players of all time. He'll raise the TWolves floor to be a 6th seed at worst. I won't be surprised if they linger around the top 4 in the west for the next few years -- which means half the draft picks will suck. The bet the Jazz are making is really on those later ones in '27 and '29.

That’s the thing about Durant. Sure you can trade 4 unprotected firsts an all star, a starter snd 2 rotation guys…and then you’re no longer a Contender so there’s no reason to have Durant or for him to be happy

If Murray can get three firsts and Rudy Goerbt can get five firsts, I understand the Jazz and especially the Nets asking for 111919 firsts, multiple players, the key to the city, major landmarks, $60 billion in cash and draft pick swaps for the next 200 seasons.

Knicks have been angling for Donovan for years, and they have 8 picks available to trade. If Ainge can squeeze them for as much picks as possible, he should do it.

The Jazz also have him under contract for 3 years, and he hasn’t even publicly requested a trade. They can drag this out until they get what they want.
