据多位消息人士透露，篮网即将聘用乌杜卡作为球队的新任主教练。乌杜卡目前处于被凯尔特人禁赛期间，但是凯尔特人方面表示，允许乌杜卡自由离开，乌杜卡的最快可以再48小时内上任篮网主教练。

乌杜卡上赛季首次以主教练的身份执教凯尔特人，并把凯尔特人带进了总决赛，最终以2-4的战绩输给了勇士。

Celtics suspended him, not the league. If the Celtics release him he is free to sign with any team
