-Pistons GM Troy Weaver: "I'm excited and really curious about how we'll come together as a team and how quickly that happens."

-Troy Weaver said this season is about the "three Ds" ... discipline, development and defense.

- Williams on this team's struggles last year: "I know Coach Casey, and I know he doesn't teach bad stuff. There needs to be buy in from the players and (direction from myself) to change this thing around."

- Williams said he believes there's a chance Duren could log minutes at the 4 if they go big.

- Cunningham on USA: "I was definitely happy how I played. That was one of my big goals this summer to see where I was at. I feel good about where I was."

Said he's still leaning his body and getting confidence. Added things pop up all the time.

- Cade Cunningham: "I want the team to defend at a high level."

- Cunningham on Monty Williams: "I think it's great. We see a lot of things in basketball the same way. I like how he carries himself, outside of coaching. ... It's easy to follow behind someone like that."

- Cunningham said shooting was his main priority this summer.

- Isaiah Stewart: "We're trying to build on our foundation. As a whole, this summer, we worked hard. The atmosphere in the gym every day was next level, different."

- Stewart: "Going into Year 4, I definitely feel like I'm helping the younger guys out. I'm starting to feel like a vet on this team."

- Stewart on Williams: "He has spoke to me about defense and being in charge on that end. He wants me to be who I am and not change that."

- Stewart said he views himself more as a 4 now, "especially having this group of bigs."

Said the summer was spent getting comfortable doing things Williams wants him to do at the 4 this season.

- Stewart on Ausar: "He's ready. Ausar knows how to play great team basketball. Defensively, his game is off the charts. I feel like he'll be playing Day 1."

- Stewart: "I don't know what it's going to look like, but I told coach this, 'The energy is different.'"

- Stewart on Duren: "He has the strength to compete against other centers in the league. With him having a year under his belt, the game is going to slow down for him."

期待新赛季司徒和渡轮的搭档。

- Stewart on support from organization: "When you have Troy and Coach Mont, teammates, behind you, it's definitely an honor. To be viewed in that way, it shows hard work pays off. I just have to continue to be me and help lead this team."

- Burks: "People are maturing. These young adults are growing up. I see a shift in them as a person and it correlates to the basketball court."

- Burks on Cunningham: "I'm excited he's healthy."

- Burks on Ausar Thompson: "He's ready. I played a lot of pick-up with him. I think he's ready."

-Bagley: "I see the seeds being planted. I feel the energy is different from when I got here, in a positive way. The main thing for us is learning how to maintain that for. a whole season."

-Bagley: "We got to stay disciplined and locked on the small things that good teams in this league do."

-Bagley: "The only expectation for me is to be the best teammate I can be and lock in on the small things."

-Bagley said he's in a good pace mentally. "It was more about clearing my mind and figuring out more about myself, diving deep. Being a better brother, son and boyfriend ... everything."

-Ausar Thompson said the team was with each other a lot all summer.

-Thompson on Cunningham: "The first thing you notice about him is that he doesn't feel like he's 22. He's like a 10-year vet."

-Thompson on where he could have been better during summer league: Hustle every play.

-Ausar said Joe Harris and him have grown a connection so far.

-Thompson: "I love how the city has deep roots. When you meet someone from here, they're prideful to tell you they're from Detroit."

-Sasser on Summer League: "It was a big confidence booster for me, especially that last game."

-Sasser said the camaraderie is close to college. "The vibe I get is it's a family."

-Sasser said the first few games of Summer League were frustrating. "It happens. It's basketball. To have a good game, the last game, it was a good confidence booster."

-Sasser said he's picked Burks' brain a lot this summer.

-Jalen Duren: "I learned more about the league, how to guard, different schemes and rotations. I've locked in with that."

-Dure on Cunningham: "I sut wanted to be around him more. Even before the USA camp, I went down to Dallas for a couple days and spent time with him."

真是好兄弟，期待新赛季的连线。-Duren said the biggest thing he learned from his rookie season is having a routine. "It keeps you straight, organized."

哈里斯

-Joe Harris on his reaction to getting traded to Detroit, first conversations: "They talked about how they're trying to build up the culture here. They wanted to incorporate some veteran guys, guys with good reputations."

-Harris said he doesn't know what his role is right now and "I'm not overly concerned with it. I feel like I can offer value in a lot of different ways. My approach isn't going to change with playing time, role."

乔哈心态还是放得挺平的。

-Harris: "I know I only have one year here, but I want to leave it a better place than I came into."

-Joe Harris said the young Pistons weren't one of the young teams that didn't play with effort. "If you didn't take them seriously, they were going to get you."

-Isaiah Livers on ankle: "Quicker recovery. Get to move around."

-Livers said the convos with Monty have been good and he gave him some players to study this summer.

-Livers said shooting on the move was key for him this summer.

-Killian Hayes: "The focus this summer has been on shooting and conditioning."

-Killian Hayes on Ausar Thompson: "He's explosive. HE can be late, making a mistake, and he's going to recover. He's so physically gifted and he's a great guy, as well."

-Bogey said with a healthy Cade, he hopes this season will be a completely different story.

莫里斯

-Monte Morris, a Flint native, playing for the Pistons: "It feels surreal, for real. It feels great. I know the whole state is behind me."

-Monte Morris: "There's just so much talent."

-Monte Morris' said Monty Williams was one of those coaches "you never saw sweat." Said he was never rattled coaching Phoenix.

艾维

-Ivey said the chemistry and defensive presence were the main things this summer.

-Ivey on Ausar: "He brings a certain presence you barely see."

-Ivey said getting reps on the ball helped him immensely last year. Said he didn't get those that much in college. Cade being out forced him to learn a new role that he believes will be helpful this year as he plays more off the ball and still being able to push the tempo.

-Ivey on Monty Williams: "I'm blessed to be able to say he's going to be my coach this year and for a long period of time.

"I have so much gratitude that I'll be able to learn from him."

-Ivey said he just got married.
