北京时间4月22日，The Athletic公布了本赛季的球员匿名投票结果，他们在3月6日至4月12日之间采访了来自30支球队的142名球员，对15个热门话题征求了现役球员的观点。而在最引人注目的“谁是史上最伟大的球员？”这一问题上，共有133名球员提交答案，其中45.9%的球员选择乔丹，42.1%的球员选择詹姆斯，9.8%的球员选择科比，另外各有0.8%的球员选择库里、魔术师和皮尔斯。
